Argo Space Corporation is redefining in-space logistics with a bold, integrated vision: a reusable, refuelable orbital transfer vehicle that doesn’t just move payloads but also harvests the lunar water needed to power its operations. Founded by three SpaceX veterans, the company is developing the Argonaut—a spacecraft designed to revolutionize orbital transportation by enabling repeatable, fuel-sustainable missions.
Unlike traditional kick stages, which are expendable by design, the Argonaut represents a fundamental shift: a logistics vehicle capable of transporting payloads to precise orbits, refueling, and executing mission after mission. This shift opens up new possibilities for both small and large spacecraft, granting them access to orbits that were previously challenging or cost-prohibitive.
Beyond transportation, Argo Space has developed a method to extract water from lunar regolith, unlocking the potential for in-space fuel production. This closed-loop approach—where the same company handles mobility and resource utilization—is what differentiates Argo from the competition in an increasingly active market.
Investors recognize this potential. Following a $2 million pre-seed round, Argo Space recently secured an additional $7.9 million, led by Crosslink Capital with participation from Stellar Ventures and Type One Ventures. With this backing, the company is accelerating toward a future where in-space logistics are as seamless and efficient as Earth-based supply chains.
